AT&T Announces New Samsung Captivate Phone

Samsung and AT&T just announced the upcoming realease of the latest Android 2.1 smartphone: the Samsung Captivate. offering more features to the ever-growing and demanding mobile social networking movement.
The Captivate is faster than its predecessors.
In particular the Samsung Captivate sports AT&T's High Speed Packet Access (HSPA) 7.2 Mbps technology which when paired with AT&T 3G network makes this phone's browsing as fast as possible. As all other Android phones, the Captivate allows access to over 60,000 apps on the Android Market. Its 4 inch screen offers Super AMOLED technology (which means a thinner display) as well as enough space to view all of your social activities, calendars, text messages, personal and business email, and contacts. on one display due to and Samsung's Social Hub.
Besides watching movies, the Samsung Captivate is particularly gaming friendly due to its built-in six-axis sensor combining an accelerometer and a gyroscope to provide a full fledged gaming environment. Furthermore its advanced touch screen gestures capabilities allow for quicker access to many applications including mobile browsing location-based services and digital photos. The Samsung Captivate promises to be also a working cell phone featuring ActiveSync for enterprise users and Google™ and Yahoo for small businesses.
Other features worth mentioning are the built-in 5.0-megapixel camera and camcorder with auto-focus and HD video recording; It also has an MP3 player. The phone has 16GB of internal storage, but it allows for extra 16 GBs through memory cards. That's a total of 32GB to store your precious videos and photos. In terms of accessories, the Samsung Captivate comes with a 3.5mm headset jack as well as Bluetooth® 3.0 technology. It also has access to AT&T Navigator for voice-guided and visual turn-by-turn GPS driving directions.
The Captivate is also quad-band GSM enabling its use in over 220 countries and is scheduled to be released sometimes this summer.
