| 1. Remove the Chrome Ring: Gently pry the chrome ring with a small flat bladed screw-driver tip or a simple pin (used in the image). Proceed gently as it may damage the adjacent buttons. |   Remove the Chrome Ring. |
| 2. Discard the old ring: The replacement kit comes with a new chrome ring. As they tend to accumulate dust, just use the new one. |   Discard the old ring. |
| 3. Remove Old Trackball: Simply flip your Blackberry upside down and tap on its back cover until the old trackball pops-out. If there's dust in it, blow on it and keep tapping until it comes out. |   Remove Old Trackball. |
| 4. Insert New Trackball: Make sure you hold the new trackball to spot the side connectors showing a plastic dot in the center, see yellow arrow in image. |   Insert New Trackball. |
| 5. Align the connectors so that they point to the left and right sides, not up / down (see two arrows in image). |   Align the connectors. |
| 6. Grab the new Chrome Ring: Identify the three flanges on the back of the new Chrome Ring and make sure you hold them with no flange at the top. |   Identify the three flanges. |
| 7. Apply New Chrome Ring: Place the new chrome ring with the three flanges pointing to the sides and bottom of the new trackball module; leave no flange at the top; then press the chrome ring firmly into the phone in its original spot. |   Apply New Chrome Ring. |
