Who hasn't received a call from a friend where all you hear is someone walking and a muffled conversation? These are the embarrassing conversation where one forgot to lock the keys of a cell phone and accidentally called you from the inside of a pocket or a purse. Once I've heard a friend "butt calling "how I really don't look like Tom Cruise. True story.
So what's the big deal with butt calling? Besides the cost for the unfortunate caller and your friends eating up your minutes, there is the issue of 911 calls. a recent study says that up to 38% of calls to 911 are made by accidental dials. Furthermore the majority of butt-dialing calls last 10 seconds or less. In Ny city alone there are 10,000 calls per day of this nature. Nationwide, there is an estimated 4 millions butt calls made per year. We just can't resist: "that is one very busy butt..."
