The Kyocera KX5 …the phone that’s right out of a sci-fi movie!

This phone has been giving goose bumps to phone aficionados ever since its release in the third quarter of 2005. The KX5 was launched together with sibling models KX7, KX9, KX17 but what makes it stand out is that it’s the only slide phone of the lot. It is also called the Kyocera Slider Remix KX5 because Kyocera has been able to mix a whole lot of features into this state-of-the-art phone like a music player, camera and better gaming capabilities.

While most other phones hope that the customer is satisfied with the inbuilt memory they provide which in most cases is not more than 32 MB, Kyocera provides a slot for expandable miniSD cards up to 512 MB. And with support for MP3 and AAC formats you can carry almost 10 hours of music wherever you go. The advantage of a removable SD memory card is also that you can use it for other devices which accept that format.

This phone is a joy for gamers as the KX5 promises a superlative experience with its 8 directional keys. The Java enabled phone also lets you download games from your service provider to keep those twiddling thumbs and fingers busy for a while! The large display which measures 1.9” is easier on the eye and perfect for gaming too.

The camera comes with a loaded 1.3 camera with a 5x digital zoom to capture those candid moments and then share it at the touch of a button. The video feature lets you make your own mobile phone films, so you can go out there and make your own KX5 Slider Movie!
