LG Chocolate Review:
Its sleek and minimalist design sensibility has already won a large following. An ultra thin and elegant body covered in the deliciously rich color that light up in a brilliant red navigation pad the LG Chocolate, when used can almost be mistaken for the pod.

If you actually observe the phone in its entirety, you will notice the close attention that has been given to its aesthetics. Right from the time you slide it open to reveal the enigmatic red glow to the almost invisible keypad when not in use. It’s all mystery and high-end when it comes to the LG Chocolate. This drop dead gorgeous smooth slide phone is loaded with a whole list of interactive and incredibly useful features that will leave you wanting it right away. Its unisex fit and design is sure to attract both men and women; with a great shell that is classy, sleek, urban and yet functional. Offered in the U.S. exclusively by Verizon Wireless this part phone, part MP3 player, part GPS phone has been introduced in the market with a full line of LG Chocolate Accessories as well
A high quality phone with its sleek and shiny exterior the LG Chocolate has found a place in many designer handbags. The perfect accessory for the fashionable and trendy! Its 1.3 mega pixel camera boasts of a superior quality and has impressed critiques and fans alike. And the clear and fantastic screen only makes those memorable pictures a pleasure to shoot. An interchangeable menu makes this CDMA phone a very handy accessory in its ability to be customized as per the user. Its list of features include the usual array of gimmicks like the Bluetooth, V Cast music and video, a micro SDTM memory port that stores music, video, sounds and touch sensitive navigations keys. The navigation keys however do prove a little challenging and does impair the comfort of messaging and maneuvering across the menu.
A phone that would be any music enthusiasts dream come true this musical prodigy comes with a customizable effect and equalizer and player theme that supports both MP3 and WMA formats. The V CAST allows for easy WMA downloads and transfers from the PC to phone. A dedicated music key is your one touch access to the music on this little masterpiece that is designed around your needs and tastes. And once you have sorted your music by genre and artists using the My Music function, you and your LG Chocolate are ready to hit the road. You can enhance this feature by using the stereo Bluetooth facility that makes for easy listening through wireless earphones.
A gnawing downer that effects its over all likeability when it comes to the music system is that you cannot choose your play lists and will surf through the entire list of songs to finally catch up with your tune - a rather annoying handicap in this day and age of multimedia forward phone. Added to this is the lack of the memory card slot however makes a handy batch of music lists a slightly uphill task. You probably will have to pick your music for the week and survive with it. And oh yes no speaker phones makes music as personal as you might want yet undesirable when you just want to hang out listening to the groovy tunes without having your ears stuffed! And the earphones aren’t much to talk about either. A rather bulky and odd choice to couple with such a sleek phone, the headphones with the LG Chocolate is not ones you would carry on a jog down the park.
There is 128 MB of internal memory packed behind its sexy red glow touch pad. The LG Chocolate is all oomph and is a 10 on 10 when it comes to its looks and first impressions. The fashionably toy for the elite and trendy the LG Chocolate while packed with a whole host of features is not a multimedia techie geeks dream come true. Functional and trendy, this smooth slide is designed to impress with its looks not its list of features. A fashion statement, this is very obviously a phone to be seen and is packaged to impress as well. A suave pouch which reveals this nifty designer phone is just the first step into luring its customers into its trap. A 262k TFT display makes for a great quality 31 x 33 mm screen that is a joy to work with. Though it is evident that’s its resolution of 640 x 480 does fall behind other phones in the same price category.
Other feature include the regular run of the mill gimmicks like 800 maH Li ion battery, USB port, polyphonic ring tones, up to 3.5 hours of talk time and 16 hours of stand by time, games, calendars etc. The alarm system with its multiple alarms with multiple days for each comes with an interest batch or rings. Quite handy for the guy who needs a million reminders a day! The LG Chocolate is not intent on selling substance over style. This is quite evident from its one sided argument in favor of its luxurious looks. This 14.5 mm thick number is a raving success in Korea and is making waves in Europe as well. As desirable as a heavenly piece of dark chocolate this divine phone is a glorious when all lit up.
Email and messaging services like MMS, SMS are supported well in this delicious little phone and it goes an extra step in supporting POP3 and SMTP formats for email. You can even setup this hottie for up to three email accounts and effortlessly store 50 messages in each. Its only when it comes to dispatching some loaded messages with large attachments that you might encounter some rather rigorous limitations. And for those of you who just hate retyping those long arduous messages that get deleted when you are in a hurry or when you carelessly press the cancel button this phone is all good news. The LG Chocolate enables a mechanism whereby any message that you may type out immediately gets saved as a draft and allows you to continue or edit it at a later time. A complete relief for those of us who fall victims to unsent messages and lots of explaining!
A much talked about feature of the LG Chocolate is the 1.3 mega pixel camera that offers a resolution of 1280 x 960 pixels and performs well in comparison to other phones in the same range. A night mode function and a flash help accentuate the camera’s usability and functionality. A 4x digital zoom and features that assist in brightness, white and color.
The camcorder too lends to a time of 15 seconds of grainy and low resolution recording, which is a tad disappointing in the age of ultra modern highly capable phones. Perhaps the only complain often heard is the time involved both in turning the camera on to actually clicking and capturing the picture. All the same, the picture quality will leave you a little relieved regarding the value for money.

A battle of style and sensibilities is all the LG Chocolate is about and as you can guess style wins hands down. Lack of key features like a memory slot and speedy shutter speeds in the camera makes the LG Chocolate a sort of handicap. But a quick look at the good things about this stylish piece will have you considering the phone anyways. Its seductive looks, a good battery life, the ability to talk on the phone with the slider open or shut, a decent camera, the 2 gigs of expandable micro SD memory, an easy to use interface once you’ve read the manual, the LG Chocolate does offer a fair bargain to its avid followers. The lot that prefers the technical forward gizmos should perhaps avoid it.
Not one to pander to the whims of a software geek this phone is truly a diva in its own right. An eye candy and a top priority on the ‘it’ list the LG Chocolate may not be an action packed multimedia gallery but is sure is one hot little number; a deliciously sexy accessory to your entire get up! So if you have your nails all manicured and don’t suffer from pudgy fingers and don’t mind the finger prints, this is the ultimate sleek-mobile for you.
