With the Nextel ic502 (Motorola Buzz) cell phone weather extremes don't pose a problem. Rugged and resilient, the Motorola ic502 with Nextel service is certified to the Military Standard 810 F. That means that, the Nextel ic502 cell phone can withstand exposure to dust, temperature extremes, solar radiation, low pressure and continues to function in extreme environments.
The Nextel ic502 is a flip style cell phone that measures 3.7 in x 2.1 in x 1.1 in and weighs 5 oz. It is powered by a Lithium Ion battery that provides 5.5 hours of talk time. Key features include Nextel Direct Connect, Internet / email access and has GPS capabilities.
Nextel Direct Connect and GPS Services
Taking advantage of Nextel services, such as Direct Connect and Group Connect with one touch Direct Connect / Group Connect, the Nextel Motorola ic502 keeps you connected with instant communication with all your friends and relatives by pressing push to send (calls assigned or last Direct connect / Group connect contact). Additionally, you have the option to converse using the Direct Connect Speaker and privacy modes, simply press the private speaker button to use the ear-piece.
Using the dual-mode capabilities of the Motorola ic502, you can make Walkie-Talkie and wireless phone calls. Walkie-Talkie calls use the Nextel National Network and include Walkie-Talkie / Group Walkie-Talkie / Talkgroup / Direct Talk. Wireless phone calls use the Nationwide Sprint PCS Network.
The Nextel ic502 Motorola Buzz has a built-in Global Positioning System (GPS) chip that supports Location Based Services (LBS). Applications to help you when you have an emergency or have to get directions include E911 emergency location services and turn by turn directions.
Web Browsing and Messaging
The Motorola ic502 cell phone's Web browser and Nextel data services enable you to stay informed. Read up on News and Entertainment when out and about. View Weather information and visit your favorite Web sites on the 65k color screen. The Nextel ic502 Web Browser Menu allows you to create Bookmarks and set preferences. Download games, ringers, graphics (screen savers) and Java applications.

Preferences
My Content Manager is an area located on the Nationwide Sprint PCS Network that stores all your downloadable files. From here you can download applications and save room on the Motorola ic502.
To access My Content Manager from the Home page go to Downloads > My Content Manager. All of your purchases are displayed.
My Content Manager can also be accessed through the main menu: My Content > [Games, Ringers,
Screen Savers, or Applications] > My Content Manager
You can receive and send SMS text messages to friends and relatives. The Motorola ic502 can display text messages in a Pop-up to set this feature go to Messaging > Settings > Notification - select Msg and Icon and enter. The Motorola ic502 lets you enter text via Character Input, predictive text and using templates (preset messages).
Basic Features and Personal Management
The Motorola ic502 features an external display that provides instant access for information regarding incoming calls, battery levels, and reception. A Walkie-Talkie button on the Motorola ic502 lights up to notify you of an incoming Walkie-talkie call.
The Nextel ic502 cell phone's Contacts list has a 900 entry capacity with fields for Walkie-Talkie and phone numbers. Integrated speakerphone enables handsfree communication. Calendar, task list, memo pad applications and voice record keep you on schedule.
