The Nokia 808 PureView boasts a 41 megapixel camera that is equipped with Carl Zeiss optics and PureView Pro, an imaging technology. At first the Nokia 808 PureView was not going to be sold in the United States but things have changed and it will be available unlocked in a few months. It will be compatible with GSM / EDGE: 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900 and WCDMA: 850 / 900 / 1700 / - 2100 / 1900 /2100 with automatic switching. The Nokia 808 PureView phone's 41 megapixel camera uses a CMOS sensor (1/1.2-inch) that delivers 7728 x 5368 pixels used for oversampling and combining pixels to form the best pixel possible. When snapping pictures or shooting video at 16:9 you'll get 7728 x 4354 pixels (34 megapixel) and for taking photos or capturing video clips at 4:3 it provides 7152 x 5368 pixels (38 megapixels). More imaging features include Full HD Video at 30 frames per second (1920 x 1080), HD at 1280 x 720 and nHD (640 x 360) at 30 frames per second (fps). Other frames supported include 15 fps, 24 fps and 25 fps. Photo and video editing software preloaded lets you edit pictures and trim videos.

The 4-inch Corning Gorilla Glass 2.5D curved capacitive AMOLED touch screen of the Nokia 808 PureView displays 16 million colors at 16:9 nHD. Accelerometer and graphics processor with OpenGL 2.0 take your gaming to the next level. Bluetooth version 3.0, Secure Nera Field Communication (NFC), HDMI, A-GPS, GPS, Nokia Maps, Compass, DLNA, Stereo FM Radio, 3.5mm Nokia standard audio connector with TV-out and Wi-Fi / WLAN 802.11 b/g/n with UPnP are more highlights.

For the web, HTML 4.1 and HTML5 are supported with touch web browsing. You can view real web pages that have JavaScript, Flash Lite 4 will let you view Flash Player 10.1 files, streaming video support, RSS reader and social networking for Facebook and Twitter right from the home screen. Email accounts such as your Gmail, Hotmail, Yahoo!, Windows Live, POP / IMAP and mail for MS Exchange are supported.

Music stereo player that syncs with Nokia Music Player and Microsoft Media Player 11, 320 kbps bit rate (AAC / eAAC / eAAC+ / MP3 / WMA / AMR-NB / AMR-WB), FM radio (87.5 to 108 MHz and 76 to 90 MHz), Flick scrolling UI for album browsing, DRM support and 8 channel graphic equalizer.

The Nokia 808 PureView runs on Nokia Belle OS Feature Pack 1 and will be available in three colors, red, black and white. It measures 4.87 in (H) x 2.37 in (W) x 0.54 in (D) / 0.71 in (D) where the camera is located and weighs 5.96 ounces. Other features include 16GB internal memory with microSD / microSDHC card support up to 32GB.
