Nokia 3360 – compact, matter-of-fact phone
Remember the days before the hi-end phones hit the mobile phone market? The simple ones that were popular? Like the 5100-series? Those were the days of compact, utilitarian, and matter-of- fact phones. They had all the requisite features and they did the all the jobs of today’s phones as well. The Nokia 3360 is one phone from that era.
Design
The model is similar to 3390 and 3395. Except that the size of the 3360 is a wee bit bigger compared to them. Measuring 4.5”x2.0”x1.0” in size and weighing 4.8 ounces, it fits into your jeans pocket fairly comfortably. It also takes care of your style requirements as it comes with a line of Xpress-on front and back color covers.
Navigation
The Nokia 3360 has four keys to control the phone’s menu. It also has a Talk and End Call buttons. The navigation control directly takes you to the Menu and different functions of the phone. Nokia is known for the simplicity and user-friendliness of its products. The Nokia 3360 also has an infrared (IR) port. It’s clearly an advantage as can wirelessly receive business cards from Palms and Pocket PCs via IR beaming. You can accept them and directly store them in your phone book. It can also serve as a wireless, 14.4Kbps modem for your laptop or handheld.
Messaging
Unlike the high end phones the Nokia 1100 supports simple messaging. Of course, it comes with the T9 predictive messaging facility. It also gives you the facility of text message templates to use or you can also create your own. And if your service provider gives you Email service, you can also have Email over SMS.
