HOW TO ACCESS TV:
Press the Home Key (Main Functions Menu Key) > Touch Fun icon > TV / Video > TV.
Options for Recently Played, All Channels, Live, On Demand and More are displayed. The More selection includes Subscriptions, Shop, Help and Settings.
Listen to music with Sprint Music Premier and have access to 50 commercial free stations. You can access Sprint Radio by pressing the Home Key and selecting the Fun icon > Radio. Here you have options to view Recently Played, All Stations, Shop, Subscriptions and Help. Touch the name of the Radio station you want to listen to.
HOW TO CONNECT TO THE WEB:
Press the Home Key > Touch Web and the Samsung Instinct is connected to the high speed Sprint Mobile Broadband Network (DOrA) or Sprint 1xRTT data network depending on the connectivity icon displayed.
Browsing and navigation are easily achieved by simply sliding your finger across the screen in either up, down, left or right to scroll. By touching a text field twice the text input screen appears enabling you to enter text. To go back to the previous page touch the back key.
2.0 MP Camera, Camcorder, MicroSD Memory Slot
The Samsung Instinct features a 2.0 megapixel camera that doubles as a camcorder. Simply press the dedicated camera key to enter camera mode and press the camera key once more to take a photo. View your images in the thumbnail gallery or play as slideshow. To enter video mode hold down the camera key for 2 - 3 seconds.
The Samsung Instinct Sprint phone is equipped with a microSD expansion slot that supports microSD cards with up to a maximum capacity of 8GB. The Samsung Instinct ships with a 2GB microSD card pre-installed. Easily manage your music, pictures and videos with Sprint Media Manager via USB connection with your computer.
HOW TO CONNECT VIA USB:
Connect the USB cable to the Samsung Instinct and your computer. After your computer automatically detects the Samsung Instinct, click on the My Computer icon on the Windows desktop. Open the drive letter that was created for the Samsung Instinct. Here you can access the default folders named DCIM, Media, Music, and Others. The DCIM folder stores pictures and videos. Media folder contains downloaded content. Music folder keeps all of the downloaded and transferred music files handled by Sprint Media Manager. While the Others folders stores data files. After you have completed transferring your media click on the USB device icon located on the computer screen task bar and follow onscreen instructions.
HOW TO ADD SONGS PURCHASED FROM SPRINT MUSIC:
You can transfer songs purchased at Sprint Music Store by pressing the Home key and touching the Fun icon > Music > MyMusic icon. Then you select Options icon > Web Sync and enter a five step process that will add all the songs previously bought. Once synchronization is completed, touch the MyMusic icon and select All Songs. Newly added songs appear in italics, by touching the song's title it enables you to Download Song or Download All Songs.
Calling, Visual Voicemail, Speech to Action:
To make a call simply press the Phone key > Touch the Dialer icon > enter the number and Touch the number displayed in the Talk icon.
Visual Voicemail enables you to quickly view and select the voicemails you want to listen to. Caller information is populated from your voicemail and displayed for easy identification. You can enable the integrated speakerphone to automatically play the voicemail messages selected.
Speech to Action runs a tutorial the first time the application is accessed. Speech to action button allows you to make calls and open applications via voice commands. Hold the Speech to action button when on the Phone functions menu or the Main functions menu and say a command, "Go To Weather", "Call Jane", "Go To Search" then state what your searching for and the Samsung Instinct serves the results.
Bluetooth and GPS:
Operate with a wireless connectivity range of 30 feet and listen to your favorite songs with a Bluetooth wireless stereo headset or Bluetooth stereo speakers. The Samsung Instinct is a Bluetooth version 2.0 cell phone the enables you to handle calls, transfer and synchronize data, as well as print to compatible Bluetooth printers without the wires.
Sprint Navigation provides audible turn-by-turn driving directions with live search. Features include user defined MyFavorites locations, Recent Places, Business locations organized in categories, Airports (nearest proximity based on GPS), addresses of contacts and Addresses. HOW TO VIEW REAL-TIME TRAFFIC INFORMATION:
You can view real-time traffic information. To access real-time traffic information pertaining to your route press the Home key > touch the Main icon > Navigation > Drive To. Then enter a physical address and Touch the Traffic icon to view traffic conditions.
HOW TO RECEIVE TURN-BY-TURN DIRECTIONS (2D):
Press the Home key > touch the Main icon > Navigation > Drive To. Then enter a Physical address and Touch the Summary icon to display a 2D map view with turn-by-turn driving directions.
