Siemens CF62T – a solid, strong utility phone
The CF62T from Siemens is the company's first flip phone. Fantastically designed with a cool blue exterior and a wraparound antenna this is mobile that you’d love to own.
Design
Easily distinguishable from Siemens's long line of candy bar-style handsets, the CF62T is a light and relatively compact phone measuring 3.2”x.7”x 0.9” and weighing only 3.2 ounces. It has a unique looped antenna, which comes in handy for clipping to a belt or a strap. Just that it adds another half-inch or so to the total length.
Display and Navigation
It has a stylish external with silver and blue coloring. The external display shows the time, battery life, signal strength, and caller ID (where available). It also has a plastic strip around the outer shell of the phone that flashes for incoming calls. When you flip open the phone a 1.5-inch-diagonal internal display welcomes with 65,000 colors.
The navigation controls consist of two soft keys and a four-way toggle that gives three shortcuts to your messages, the call log, and the voice recorder. It has attractive animated menus that are easy to navigate.
Messaging
The messaging facility in the Siemens cf62t is decent. It has T9 predictive text input system. The phone also supports Text Modules, pre-written blurbs you can use to quickly respond to somebody. Plus, there are a number of SMS configuration profiles that you can use. The MMS system is also decent. It is fully acceptable, though hardly stellar. With the MMS facility, you can add multiple slides to a message, inserting pictures, sounds, and text. You can even record a message to be sent as an embedded audio clip through MMS.
