The Kyocera DuraMax Sprint Phone is Military Standard 810G Certified and can be immersed in water for up to 30 minutes (1 Meter). Its rugged design allows the Kyocera DuraMax to withstand blowing rain, shock, humidity, dust, temperature extremes, vibration, salt fog, low pressure and solar radiation. Additionally, the Kyocera DuraMax is wrapped with Dura-Grip (rubberized non-slip material). The flip style Sprint Kyocera DuraMax connects to Sprint's 3G EVDO Rev. A network for its Direct Connect services. It does not use the Nextel iDEN network. The large keys of the Kyocera DuraMax let you easily make calls and use Push-to-Talk Services.
The Kyocera DuraMax Sprint Phone is packaged with Sprint Direct Connect that provides you with services such as Group Connect (up to 20 simultaneous Direct Connect Users), TeamDC (Nationwide group calling), Invites (Group Call / 1-1 Calling), Talker Priority for Group Calling, Availability Notification and Single Number Option (one number for calls and Direct Connect). Please note Direct Connect Nextel phone users cannot be included with Sprint's 3G Direct Connect / Group Connect calls. Future Sprint broadband CDMA network coverage is estimated to be completed in 2013.
Have access to the web and your email with the Kyocera DuraMax cell phone's Mobile web WAP 2.0 browser. You can read your AOL / AIM, MSN Hotmail, Yahoo! and POP3 / IMAP email. Send Text or Multimedia messages. Threaded text messaging keeps track of the conversation.
Keep you memories alive with photos and video. The Sprint Kyocera DuraMax is equipped with a 3.2 camera with flash and video capture. Connect to a PictBridge compatible device and print out your photos.
Listen to your songs with either a 2.5 mm stereo headphone jack (compatible with PTT headsets) or a Bluetooth stereo headset. The Kyocera DuraMax supports Bluetooth Advanced Audio Distribution Profile (A2DP) and AV Remote Control Profile (AVRCP) enabling you to playback your music albums wirelessly. Take your music with you and store your video and pictures on microSD cards. You can use up to 32GB microSDHC cards. The Kyocera DuraMax ships with a 1GB microSD card.
The Kyocera DuraMax features Autonomous GPS. It also supports Java MVM for 3rd party application compatibility. GPS services include Sprint Navigation and Sprint Family Locator. Sprint Navigation helps you reach your destination with its audible turn by turn directions. Sprint Family Locator helps you keep track of your relatives.

The Kyocera DuraMax Sprint Phone has dual screens 2.0-inch QVGA TFT 240 x 320 pixels main interior screen and a 1.0-inch monochrome 96 x 64 pixel external screen.
