Sprint Tops Customer Satisfaction Study, New York, May 16th 2011 by 1800Mobiles Editorial Team: according to American Customer Satisfaction Index LLC overall customer satisfaction with their cell phone service providers dropped by 1.4% to a score of 71. This data is actually higher than the years before 2010.
Surprisingly, the smaller carriers like US.Cellular and Tracfone have the best index (77), likely due to their continuous commitment to their more manageable customer base. Among the big 4 carriers, Sprint ties Verizon for top of the list. However, Verizon dropped 1%, while Sprint keeps raising (+3%) to reach a virtual tie as the best national wireless carriers for customer service. The bad news come from the two companies that are trying to merge: AT&T and T-Mobile. AT&T drops by 4% to an index of 66, the worst score since 2006, when the iPhone was launched. Coincidence? On the other hand, T-Mobile drops another 4% to an ACSI score of 70, matching its 5-year low.
