Though one might have hundreds of contacts in their mobile phone address book, research has shown that people often make the maximum number of calls (65%) to a few selected people who are friends, colleagues or family. Keeping this insight in mind, TMobile has launched unlimited calling plans to a user's five favorite numbers called the MyFave rate plans. This would help T-mobile users connect five people whom they would love to remain connected throughout life without any limitation of call rate expenses.
Unlike other seemingly value-added services, this service truly supports "any-network-calling". These five numbers can be of any network and can be to either a mobile or a landline anywhere in the United States. Some additional features of the MyFave plans include photo sharing, text messaging and one-touch calling. Further there are no roaming and long-distance charges on these numbers. The idea is to truly bring people together since friends and family are not limited to the same geographical area or network. Personalizing the fave 5 numbers is also possible by adding a customized picture or downloadable icons.
Also, if a person is already a T-Mobile Cell Phone user, he/she can look at the itemized bill and attempt to figure out who the favorite five should be. Once a user starts a MyFave plan, T-mobile is in the process of designing a spend analyzer to help them understand who the real favorite five should be.
The fave 5 numbers can be changed once every month either on the net or directly through the phone. Incoming calls from any of the fave 5 numbers will not be counted against the "Whenever minutes" which are allotted to a user who has taken a MyFave plan and Tmobile is not responsible for the charges that would be incurred by any of the fave 5 number if they make a call to the TMobile number. They will be charged as per the rate plan that is corresponding to their service provider and rate plan.
Along with a MyFave plans, a messaging bundle can also be thrown in at an additional monthly price of $4.99. MyFave individual plans start at a minimum monthly charge of $39.99 with 300 "Whenever minutes" to a maximum of $139.99 for 5000 "Whenever minutes" with four other plans between the two. Similarly, a MyFave family plan starts at $69.99 with 700 minutes and goes upto to a monthly charge of $139.99 for 3000 "whenever minutes".
