At 1800Mobiles we have been quite vocal about the "idiotic" practice of texting or emailing while driving. We have covered stories following which states have passed laws against it as well as tests measuring the dangers of texting while driving when compared to driving while intoxicated. We even covered the story of that "genius" lady who wanted to sue the mall where she fell into the fountain while texting. Now this story got more personal.

One of our co-founders was at a red light while on vacation with his wife and one year old daughter. Another text and driving genius didn't see the red light; didn't see the stalled car; and drove into his car. All three (except the genius) were brought to the hospital. A few weeks later we are happy to report everybody involved is alive and well. Except for one thing. Texting and driving continues and it is only getting worse. after these news I have been personally looking into fellow drivers cars. Literally one every 5 cars I looked into has one idiot at the phone either talking or texting.
