How to listen to voice mail on a Blackberry 9700: You can press and hold the number "1" on your keypad and it will dial the number. You can also dial 1, 2 and 3 and press send. The longest way to listen your voice mail is to press the Send key from the Home screen; then press the Menu key and click on "Call Voice Mail".
How to send an incoming call to voice mail when the Blackberry 9700 Bold is in a holster: Press and hold the Volume Down key on the right side of your phone.
How to add an extension number: Press the "Alt" key and the "X" key; then type the extension number.
How to change your ring tone from the Home screen: Press the Send key. Press the Menu key. Click Set Ring Tone.
How to set up speed dial for a contact: From the Home screen, press and hold the key that you would like to assign speed dial to. Answer "yes"; then select the contact name from the list.
How to short-cut zooming in and out of a picture on a Blackberry 9700 Bold: Press key "3" to zoom in to a picture; Press key "7" to zoom to the original size.
How to find your cell phone number on a Blackberry Bold 9700: Press the send key; your phone number appears at the top of the screen.
How to change your ring tone: Click on the "sound" icon, top left corner of your home screen; then scroll down on the available menu to find "Set Ringtones/Alerts"; Click on the item you want to change (Phone, Messages, Instant Messages, Reminders or Other); to select a pre-loaded ringtone, just browse and select one from the list; if you prefer to set another one you downloaded, go at the top of the same list and "Select Music..." and select one from the open list.
How to change the default volume for Blackberry 9700 voice calls: When on the Home screen, press the Send key; then press the Menu key. Select "Options" and click General Options. Now you can change the Default Call Volume field by pressing the Menu key. Click Save and you're done.
How to improve sound quality for voice calls: This doesn't work when used with a headset. Go to the Home screen and press the Send key. Press the Menu key and select "Options" from the list. From the subsequent list select General Options. Here you change the "Enhance Headset Call Audio" or "Enhance Handset Call Audio" fields.
Then Press the Menu key and Save.
How to change your email signature:
Go to the Home screen or in the Setup folder, then open the email setup application. Here, highlight an email address from the list. Now press the Menu key and click on "Edit".
You will see a "Signature field", where you can type your new signature and then click Save.
You may be asked to type your email address password.
If that happens, after you enter it, click on OK until the Email Accounts screen appears. Note: To delete your signature, leave the signature field empty.
